One of the reasons for this party is for Joe Stewart's 41st birthday. His birthday was on March 15, and was just celebrated with a quiet dinner at home with Elena, and it was spent packing up his things at his old loft while working on finding a new home to live in with Elena. At this party, Joe will be seen around with Elena a lot, but also mingling with guests, and there may be some piano playing the drunker he gets through out the evening - complete with singing and possibly trying to seduce people (mainly Elena, of course) into picking up an instrument and playing along. He'll be in great spirts, excited to party with his friends and family, and even more excited to really break in his new home with an all out bash.

The other reason for this party is for Elena Benedetti's 33rd birthday. Her birthday was on April 21, 2015 and was celebrated by a romantic night with Joseph (details will not be told, you can leave that up to the imagination!) Elena will be socializing with the guests and, being the perfect host that she is, making sure everyone (able to drink) has a glass of wine or beer in their hands. As the evening goes on and she gets more and more tipsy, she might join her husband at the piano and sing while he plays. By the end of the evening, she will suggest that any remaining guests really help her warm the new house by starting a Nerf battle.

The main reason they wanted to have a small get together was to also celebrate their recent elopement in Las Vegas. As both Elena and Joseph are very private people, only a few know that they're actually married, and they don't make that big of a deal. The pair was married on March 7, 2015, and were married by Elvis, because why else go to Vegas? Once they returned home, they decided to start looking for a place to live, and finally settled on the home on Washington Street in Boston.
